Vendela Kirsebom was born on January 12, 1967 in Stockholm, Sweden. Her mother is Norwegian and father is Turkish. The beautiful blue-eyed model was discovered at the age of 13 by Eileen Ford while eating in a restaurant with her parents.

By the age of 18, she graduated from Rudolf Steiner School and moved to Italy to pursue a career in modeling under the guidance of the famous Ford Models. After a contract with Elizabeth Arden, Vendela moved to the US where she began working as Almay's spokesperson.

Soon after, Vendela moved to the city of angels to pursue an acting career. Her on-screen debut was in Batman & Robin, where she played the dead wife of Mr. Freeze (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger). Off-screen, she has been very busy with her husband, Norwegian businessman Olaf Thomessen.
